Ways we can partner

Family Therapy

Sometimes families get stuck in patterns or experience challenges that affect how the whole family is functioning. I am here to partner with you to better understand family dynamics and try new ways of relating to greater harmony. Family therapy is a dynamic and active process and works best when all family members participate.

Individual Therapy for Teens & Young Adults

Being a teen or young adult is challenging and exciting. I love partnering with young people on the journey of discovering who they are and who they want to be. I continually aspire to create a safe and affirming space for all. Whether it is exploring the past or visioning the future, I aim to be a trusted confidant. For young adults, our work often centers on the process of launching and furthering one’s independence.

I am most influenced by CBT, DBT, positive psychology, and strengths-oriented approaches in my work. And recently, I’ve integrated elements of polyvagal theory and mindfulness into my approach.

Parent Coaching

There are times where parents gets stuck and need an objective professional to problem-solve possible solutions for parental or family challenges.  My approach honors the parent as the expert on their child and use their knowledge along with my experience and training to develop interventions together.

School Consultation

Interpretation and Implementation of Psychological Assessment results

As a licensed psychologist, I can help parents better understand the findings from a psychological/neuropsychological assessment and liaise with school personnel to help inform accommodations.

School Placement Consultation

Wondering if your child’s current school is the right fit? School placement consultation typically involves a blind school observation, interviews with child, caregivers and teachers, administration of questionnaires (if appropriate), and recommendations.

Support/Advocacy at ARD Meetings

Parents are able to bring an advocate with them to ARD meetings. As someone with experience interpreting test findings, developing an accommodations plan, and liaising with schools, I can be a trusted partner to help advocate for needed, reasonable accommodations.

General Support
It can sometimes be helpful to have an outside professional observe a child in the school environment to inform decision-making regarding challenging behaviors, school placement, social-emotional concerns, or other issues.
